This project involved making body prints with Darren Swift, who lost both his legs in Belfast in 1992. The resulting images bring a harsh reality to modern battle, but there is also the celebration of survival. The paintings, despite the violent image, are beautiful and reward close inspection. Two are overlaid with poppies as a reminder of Remembrance Day. Darren has a career as an actor - recently playing Corporal Chris Ward in 'The Two Worlds of Charlie F', Royal Haymarket Theatre and touring.
